You can catch the Metrolink Train from Lancaster all the way to LA Union Station every day of the week now including Sunday. Once you arrive at Union Station, right across the street is historic Olvera Street which dates back in Los Angeles history to 1877.When you first approach Olvera Street there is a large open area
where people gather and different performances take place. Last weekend there were were some Indian performers with dancers and some music. The weather was perfect for being outside.Just behind that is the historic Pico House which was known as the finest hotel in Souther California back in the 1880s.

There are many Mexican Restaurants around this area and I chose one called La Golondrina Cafe. This is a great place to go if you want authentic Mexican cuisine.
